Can Exercising Really Improve Your Brain Health?

Let’s talk about the importance of regular exercise and mental health. We know that exercise not only helps benefit your heart, lungs, and overall well-being, but it has significant benefits for patients suffering from mood and mental health disorders. Many times, it can help people struggling with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks feel better. Under the care of a physician and with a supervised plan, some people can reduce their medication or even get off it completely.

In my twenty-five years of practicing family medicine, one of the most common complaints that patients came to me with was mood disorders - depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. It can be very devastating to an individual. When someone is experiencing depression or anxiety, they lack the motivation to exercise and become sedentary. They might gain weight and become more depressed because they are unable to live the life they want to live. Their mental health becomes a downward spiral.

If you are struggling with a mood disorder such as depression or anxiety, I would love to help you. I have designed a program that addresses the balance needed to maintain optimal health, especially brain health. My program takes a close look into your life and assesses many facets such as your dietary needs, exercise, and lifestyle habits, as well as the metabolic processes in your body.

If you would like to learn more about this program, I encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute call - https://bit.ly/FFMDiscovery. Let’s discuss your issues, and see if my program is right for you. In the meantime, take a few minutes and do something for 10 or 15-minutes that you enjoy to get you up and moving. You will be surprised how much better just those few minutes of moving will make you feel.
